Your lesson plan is a guide to be followed not a step by step ridgid plan.

Have everyone introduce them selves and some facts about them. Try to remember the students names. Share relative info about yourself to break the ice and show your experience. 

Check lists are not over rated and coming in early will help me feel prepared. 

Reply to Gary Wilkerson's post: That was definetly a big take away for me. I may be an expert in my field of nursing BUT I am a novice when it comes to teaching. Learn as you go and stay humble.
