Always lead by example, actions usually speak louder than words. Keep yourself accountable and then you have the right to keep others the same. Try not to complain and never complain to those below you. Have positive solutions for issues, not excuses. Utilize your chain of command correctly, do not overstep. Stay positive, get your tasks done before making sure others have theirs done. Delegate where necessary and make sure what you ask is done to the standard.
