This was all great information, what I learned most was to identify behavior issues online and how best to deal with them. The biggest piece is learning how to save all your information and putting it into a organized onllne filing system. This is also important for when you have a problem student to back up your reasoning with documentation.

 

I learned the difference between asynchronous and synchronous learning as it relates to online courses. I got a much better understanding on the reasons for using each and how to manage them online. I also found it interesting to be able to identify the different learning styles especially the ones that could be a problem online.

 

 

I plan to use the student biography part to get to know my students and for them to get to know each other. I will start my class online but hope to return to on ground before the class is over. This will be a great way to meet and know more about each other.

 

I feel like there is a lot more prep for an online course vs on ground. I am a new instructor who is now learning how to go to online learning and it's a bit overwhelming navigating all the technology of the CMS. I had to use it a bit as part of my onboarding so got to experience it as a student and now I am learning it as an instructor as I prepare my course online.
