About me

I just completed the ED110 and found it absolutely great!  I have been teaching for over 8 years and am just "now" running into obstacles to my teaching.  I have always known how to manage stessors in my life and career, but this course just brought it all back to me.  I love the strategies for eliminating or controlling stress at the workplace.  I am now going to return to work, after break, with a new LIST!  Thank you for reminding me and giving me new ways to LOVE my job again.  I realize, it will take some time, but I am going to put everything I have learned to use asap! I just completed ED115 and I really enjoyed it!  It is about Soft Skills.  As an Educator, I teach a Job (Career) Development course.  The information I learned and reviewed in this particular course is going to be very helpful to add to my syllabus.  Everyone should take this module.  Christine M.

Another great module! Thank you so much. The information that I have just learned (and recalled) is going to come in very handy as a part of my Job Development Course I teach. I do go over Hard versus Soft Skills, but this just adds so much more. I also enjoyed this course, because I was able to take a look at myself, as an Instructor, as to just how many of my "soft skills" I am using. In addition, how many do I need to improve on. Thanks again for a great module. Christine M.

It has recently come to my attention, and especially after almost completeing this course, that I am letting a couple people at my work get the "best" of me. A constant "stressor" to me, when I observe them doing absolutely "nothing" almost all day, and are receiving a paycheck!! I am learning to avoid going out into the hall or past the cafeteria...however, it is still a huge stessor to me. I am going to try to use the STRESS LIST. I will keep you posted.
I just finished with this module and found it not only to be very informative, but kind of "fun". I was able to see myself, as well as, other educators I work with in the lesson. It was interesting to me! What does anyone else think? Any management styles other than the four presented here?

I really enjoyed this part of the program. Especially because I have always been a true believer in making a good first impression. And, also setting the stage for a friendly class atmosphere.
Where I work we are required by administration to write a weekly lesson plan along with our objectives for the students. It has been a very helpful tool for me, as well as, the students. We are all on the same page in knowing what is expected on a day to day, week to week basis.
