About me

This was without a doubt a good topic to touch on how to motivate the online student to participate. I find it hard at times and interestingly, on way that I approach it and they know that they can count on me, even if they are not present nor responding, is by being in the discussions every day, even by posting something like, I hope we are okay and please let me know if you have questions. I look forward to our posts due by due date. I also learned a lot of other approaches here that will help me… >>>

It was a nice refresher for us to truly see what we can gather from how the new classroom dynamic is and how we can engage it as a facilitator and provide the best service possible, by means of the best learning experience overall. I did see some good terms that I usually do not use. I know now how to incorporate better these terms moving forward and also as a way to continuously improve my presence as an active learner myself and also as an engaged instructor.

You can certainly try to reach out to them via the discussions initially. Then you can call them, of course following any FERPA guidelines and if that is not sufficient, to try to email them as well as a follow up is also important. I think a combination of this, just letting them know to get back to you and to read your email and discussion, will certainly increase the chances. Any other thoughts?

I just recently completed El 102 and I truly got a nice refresher on how to manage online students in general. It gives a nice sense to ensure that we are always up to speed with what we need to take care of in an online environment and focus on student retention as well. I hope this helps others similarly.

Hello Everyone, Another way that we can perhaps enhance the service experience and also to perhaps show them we care is to respond even faster than 24 hours to their inquiries. I think that this leaves them with a WOW effect, in which they would certainly want to continue with us. I have seen how retention rates in my courses manage to stay above 90% due to this.

Hi folks, I will admit that the center and focus on specifics for this course was by far the most challenging I have taken, as it does cover a lot of the macro sense of each generation. To add to this, I have always had a generation discussion related to business management, with my students. There is not one time, in my multiple times I teach these courses, that one student, at minimum, will try to justify that although the macro descriptions of each generation re true, not all of the representatives in each generation do demonstrate all of the… >>>

I just completed ED 105 Instructional Planning for Student Success and I think that it was a great opportunity to see the type of instructor I am and what I can also become. I truly got a good sense of the overall course here as I truly got a good sense of how to engage the student, and also remain student focused throughout the learninbg process. I truly got a good sense of the overall course here as I truly got a good sense of how to engage the student, and also remain student focused throughout the learninbg process. I feel that this ocure will be a good benchmark that I can use, in addition to what my university requires of me as a professor. some of the most intersting points was how to deliver the infomration to the students, and also how to maintain them focused via good poer point systems, whcih I use quite a lot. Thank you very  much for this opportunity.

I just finished taking the course ED 113. I certainly found this course to be quite challenging and also, helpful as to understanding better what my market student wants, so I can effectively engage them and ensure that I can become a guide for them, more than anything, while implementing some of the best practices in terms of managing a proper classroom overall. I certainly encourage others to take this course and ensure that this is put into practice.

I truly wanted to recommend the training and insights that I got from this particular training in Ed 112. To have learned the way that my students think or feel motivated gave me the experience to now empathize best with them in future courses. Perhaps this will be a great tool for us as well to also apply retention techniques that will certainly help us be motivational for them, and in the future, as the students may see us as role models and also guides in their careers (mentors). What does everyone think about this?
