About me

Hi!  I teach for two different instituitions in online learning.  The recent course that I completed, EL 102, was extremely helpful for both.  I found , even though I have been teaching online for over 9 years, there was much that I learned in the EL 102 course.  It was excellent!

I think many of our students have other obligations at the times we offer our chat sessions, and may watch the archived versions.  Unfortunately, too,  I think  many of our students do not see the beneift of watching and listening to them.  I share with my students that in every chat session I discuss one of the week's assignments and give insight and hints for completing the assignment.  I also give those students who attend the live chat session an opportunity to complete part of the assignment during the chat session.

Sincerely,

Marjorie Thrall Moller

I am liking the fact that by now using powerpoints students want to have copies of thep owerpoints to review the night's lesson.

I found that the EL 103 course updated me in ways that I could work to improve upon my online course, and also mentioned additional websites that I could use such as TeacherTube and SchoolTube as resources for redseigning my online courses. I look forward to future comments on my comments posted in the discussion boards for the course.

I agree.  The CEE course that I took for very specific in helping to design an online course.  I actually wished that I had taken it sooner.  It was very step-by-step and also helped with understanding the philosophy and goals of online teaching.

I agree, Eric. I just fnished the ED 101 course, as well.  I found it very helpful and gave me many ideas for designing an online course.

This course gave me much food for thought as I am designing my own online course.  It was very helpful to learn what should go in the syllabus and also how the course should be laid out.
