We all are life-long learners, that being said professional development presents an opportunity for teachers to improve their intructional strategies to effectively address student learning challenges.

 

Students need feedback from their online instructor at least 5 times weekly. Responses should be clear, concise, and offer constructive feeback.

 

Prioritizing tasks, sticking to those tasks and developing a schedule are important compontents of the organizational process for an online manager. 

 

A workload manager must be well organizated, focusing on utilizing the following workload strategies: utilizing emails, etc., using various teaching techniques, facilitating learning, evaluating quality assessments, and providing an ethical foundation.

 

Netiquette rules should be adhered too by all student learners in the class. 

 

Persistence is the biggest key to success. Students are provided an opportunity to complete their assignments using various technologies. 

 

Preparing students to be successful online learners should be outlined in their course syllabus.  The online student should be open-minded. self-motivated and have great digital critizenship skills.

 

A clearly detail syllabus with modifications to accomodate the needs of all students is essential in an online class. 

 

Student online learning can be assessed through direct and indirect measures. The use of a rubric during the duratiom of the online class can encorage self-assessment and reflection by the student learner.

 

When teaching online classes to different generations of students within the same course, your instructional communication must be clear and percise.
