About me

Well, I started out doing all of the licensing paperwork to open up this school.  After we received our licensure I went out marketing and setting up marketing plans, an admissions application, I had designed and written a catalog and and a marketing plan. I made up all of the Restricted Barber exams and a Barber Law workbook.  As we started to get interested students  created an admissions procedure which when I finished with the accreditation paperwork, had to change some aspects of it.  I set up the general ledger and created a procedure for A/P, A/R. P/R, G/L and the financial statement.  I actually do everything right now except the Income Tax return which is prepared by our CPA.  This course in admissions has really helped me alot.  I am now more organized and have a way of remembering what forms need to be filled out and what needs to be discussed with the prospective new students.

Hi Anessa,

I agree with your thoughts.  I really needed this course to help keep me on track as the admissions process was kind of running away with me.  I was overwhelmed by it.  Trying to remember everything that I needed to remember and discuss with the perspective student.  I am feeling so much more confident in the admissions process now than I was a week ago when I first started this course.

I guess I missunderstood who was suppose to get the background checks. I thought it was the registrar or admissions personnel
What are the additional forms that the admissions employees are required to fill out? What is the criminal justice information form and where do I get it?
