I believe that showing the students that you really care about them can make a big difference in their success. Many students do not have a good support system.
Treating students the way you would want to be treated shows them respect. Students learn by example, if we carry ourselves
with confidence I believe the students will begin to do the same
I like the idea of using stories about the topic, this will give them a way to relate to each story.
I think that it is a great idea to great the students each day, it shows that we care about the individual
The idea of knowing the student backgrounds, and what brought them here is a valuable asset. Knowing what support systems they have or we may be the only support they have, it will guide us to teach them in the right way.

Career Ed Lounge is embedded in over eighty professional development portals serving the career and technical education community. Performance Groups in the Lounge are integrated with related learning opportunities offered on these portals. With a few exceptions, Performance Groups are also publicly available to any member of the Lounge to maximize peer-to-peer learning and performance outcomes.
