Proper direction and design is important for progress.

There need to be quick checks, like a quiz, to help assess progress.

It is important to know where the information is and how to search within to find the needed information.

I cannot reasonably expect my students to follow my guidance if I do not follow it myself.

It is essential to mold ourselves to the newer methods if there is any chance of challenging students in an effective manner.

It is an unending balance act of adopting online learning and also encouraging in-person instruction as it the answer is never going to be definitively one or the other.

Technological advancements have made it necessary to adapt to new ways of approaching information and delivery therein. What is new to us, may be the new normal to incoming students and thus, makes it to where we, the intructors, must adapt. 

Paramount to everything, is to determine how best to support the student and then adjust the needed support to help the student achieve success.

The wide variety of ability with the English language, means that certain modifications to delivery may be needed to effectively convey information to the students needing it most.

Groups need to be small, if possible, and balance students that are already familiar with the subject and those that struggle because they are less experienced in the task.
