Online courses are helpful for those wanting to complete their degree but require more of a work/life balance. It’s important to offer the same guidance and be available for these students and understanding the characteristics of online students can help know how to teach them correctly.

It’s important to treat students with respect and lots of encouragement, especially when students feel they are behind.
