I liked "feedback should focus on OBJECTIVES not the person, timely and actionable and have an exit interview".

Having supervision is key, but its difficult due to staffing. Teachers should have time to visit job sites and see how each of their students are working within the field. Time and classroom coverage is a barrier to this. especially if there are large class sizes.

I liked how students should keep a journal or diary of their expierence. But infortunately I think due to large class sizes and time constraints, this seems like busy work for students/educators when it is in fact valuable and I beleive could also hold the students more accountable at their internship site.

I saw someone above who gave a great analogy of the supervisors are like COACHES.....

I agree. set the way based on what you teach through leadership and demonstrations.

Internships are great for our students for many ways. Our industry partners come to the school to interview students to see the best fit, and within the classroom is where the connection begins for the students of work to their internship. Having internships local to the students within their community is also very helpful.

Having a strong advisory board including various members helps programs outcomes tremendoulsy.
