Share your knowledge in an organized and motivational manner. Connect with students on a professional level and also expresses your personality.

Professional development for faculty is critical. Considering the generation that we are currently teaching I believe that staying on top of culinary based technology is also a must. Students often know more about food blogs, pod casts and current associations than their instructors. We can learn much from our students in this regard.

It is important that all components of Gen. ed can be incorporated into Culinary Classes. The most effective method of delivery might be thru real life scenarios. A very effective method of delivering the reality of kitchens to the students would be to invite guest speakers from the industry.

Our current environment is quite different than when I started teaching in 2003. This section was a great insight into the younger student demographics. I will be using some of the information in this section to guide me.
