I have used student feedback and personal ideas to review my courses, as well as institutional guidelines.  Peer reviews are a method of evaluation U have not used and want to use more in the future

 

I need more practice with using self and peer evaluations.  The maturity of my students makes this difficult.  I am going to try to work this into my feedback cycle more

 

"For the purpose of scaffolding learning, students need to focus on learning with the technology rather than learning from the technology"  I had to read this several times, and it is still not clear.  Scaffolding is important so that students doe not bog down with lack of prior knowledge.  

The online courses I have taken in the past have had wide variations in their effectiveness in creating an online community.  The effectiveness of questions requiring feedback can make or break this 

I've never actually developed e-courses, but I plan to see if there is a LMS available from my facility in order to practice with the development

 

Learning styles affect e-learning environments as well as traditional classrooms. Tips for handling "problematic" student behavior are excellent

 

 

Smaller groups for synchronous meetings helps keep the conversation understandable while message boards or other asynchronous meetings allow for exposure to more varied viewpoints and allows students more time for well thought out responses

 

It's important that students are aware of the person behind the screen, and that they know that you are aware and concerned about them

 

I've learned that e-learning courses can be set up in more ways than just multiple choice formats.  I intend to look into other methods of communicating with students for distance learning.
