Great comment on how students whom come back to share help build a successful learning environment. Also, current students like to hear from successful alumni and this then increases their motivation towards graduation.
Yes, there are students whom decide to come back to Concorde to either further their education or send their family and friends our way. Graduates with a positive experience are happy customers!

Although, this training course was long, the information was very clear and structured. I am glad our institution made this mandatory, so all our staff is on the "same page".

It is important to explain the FERPA Policy to our students, so they understand their rights. For example, two students (close friends) come in your office and ask if you can look up their GPA. This is a good learning opportunity to explain the policy.
Students that were well informed and had a positive school experience, tend to share their story with others. How many of these alumni have been invited back to campus to share their new career experiences?
Although appointments may take longer, it is very important to encourage the student to read all documentation before they sign anything. Therefore, we have a responsibility to give them time to read over paperwork and not feel rushed.
I agree that the forms can become tedious. But,since the student signs so many forms during enrollment or re-entry, it is important to ask the student to summarize what they just signed. This gives them a chance to ask questions or feel the need to look over the documents.
I see many students just sign documents without taking the time to thoroughly read what they are signing. During that moment, I remind them the importance to read documents first before giving their actual signature. Providing examples are helpful, such as, someone could have been selling you a car, poor product, etc, and you would not have even known.
