Effectively using data will help us grow areas where there are gaps, and identify what we should maintain.

A relationship-driven approach that is engaged early on is more effective than siloed career services.  Also, aligning employer activations with student readiness creates more meaningful opportunities.

We don't need fancy systems, just the right systems that are user friendly, clear, and make our jobs easier and more efficient and move us and our students/grads forward.

A clearly defined mission statement and well-communicated program goals are foundational to effective institutional leadership and success.

IR is already doing most of the support initiatives outlined here (career fairs, internship/membership fairs, mixers, conferences, industry speakers) - but I do love the idea of the job skills Olympics / competitions - this might be something fun to try during the Olympics.

Neither grads or employers are one size fits all; we should approach all in ways that meet their different needs.

It is valuable to build relationships within the community, in addition to pursuing employer partnerships.

Career outcomes for graduates improve most when student success is a collective responsibility.  Grad success is the responsibility of the entire institution.
