I certainly learned more about The Clery Act, when to report, and Title IX requirements standards. 

I learned the availability of supportive measures along with other regulations (anonymous or personal). 

HIPAA has solid standards which protect health information and in some situations can be disclosed with parents of students.  I had heard of HIPAA, but I was new to learn about Solomon's Act and found that quite interesting in the effect of military relations. 

Besides acessing and protecting their records if they believe it to be unjust, with consideration relating to FERPA, students can have the right to challenge a grade. 

THe importance of following best practice guidelines and understanding FERPA laws. 

The importance of student privacy, protection and being proactive.
