Talking to other instructors and not procrastinating
There are many stressors in working with adult learners. My biggest stress would be figuring out how to hold their attention while lecturing. I try to do a lot of hands on activities and a flipped classroom.
Staying organized!!
I have learned the longer you procrastinate, the more stress is involved around the task.
I enjoyed the examples of the Classroom Assessment Techniques CAT's to help me make exams.
I like the Bloom's Taxonomy to help me gauge if I am being effective in my teaching strategies.
I like to get the students to do activities in the class where they can work together peer to peer.
I have learned that kindness and respect for all individuals is essential to a good work environment.
It is good to get feedback from your peers.
I have learned that there are a lot of good online resources that I can use for slide sharing, data sharing, blogging, and quiz and test creators.
