Sometimes, students do not do well with assignmets because of lack of a background in whatever they are studying, or lack of understanding of what  is being asked of them. As instructors we should assess this and figure out gow to help them,.

Some institutions can oush for the use of media, it is important to use the media that youare comfortable with and that will not be distracting to the students.

Field trips  can be fun and also  educational but it is a good idea to have an observation sheet so the stdnets can pay attention to details.

As instructors, we have to ensure all the students learn regardless of theor learning styles. 

There are very many types of learners as explainedby the several scholars and that it is important to incorporate different styles of learning so as to reach the variety of the students we have.

Adult learners need to be incharge of their learning.

There are different stages of development in thehuman growth cycle. And we ned to be aware of what stage our students are. This could help us understand their attitudes towards their education.

There are many reasons why adult learners decide to get an education and as tehy get older, over 50, the reasons change.

 I have learned that there are very many types of teaching and sometimes I may have to use several of the techniques depending on the topic and student needs.

It is ok to use your own ideas for active learning and do not be afraid of what other instructors may say.
