Educating students on the importance of soft skills has been very challenging.  Some of the difficulty comes from lack of awareness on how their interpersonal and professional skills are assessed by a potential employer.  This course has given great information on how to improve these skills with my students and I plan to strategize to aid my students in becoming a better employees, communicators, and problem solvers.

Loved this course!  I have learned effective instructor delivery methodologies, especially for diverse learning styles.

Computer technology is a great tool to incorporate into lesson plans to make learning more engaging and fun. What techniques or ideas would be best to engage a student who is not computer literate or is apprehensive to embrace technology?

Motivating students can be challenging. Stay true to yourself and your personal style of teaching. Motivation can be infectious when you are passionate about the subject matter and care about the success of the students.

I agree, every instructor should be required to take this course, there is so much valuable information and retention is everyones responsibility.

I agree elevated levels of stress result in decreased productivity.  It is important to keep morale high and encourage a positive, uplifting, and supportive environment.  This can be achieved with something as simple as bringing in snacks or treats or team building/stress relieving exercises and activities. On the flip side a little stress can be a motivator the key is a healthy balance.

I have observed instructors struggling to manage a class and maintain the boundary line that separates the instructor as a friend in order to maintain order in the classroom or encourage participation. Any suggestions on strategies to achieve successful participation and interactive environment without crossing the boundary line.
