Clear effective communication is important for students to follow instructions and succeed in class. Communication is also important to guide students into participating or correcting mistakes. 

Using technology to communicate with students can be effective. We must always remember to maintain professionalism even though the means of communicating may not be as formal.

Being a facilitator means more than just being a teaching providing information. Being a fecilitator is being a resource for students for information, knowledge, skill, and providing students with opportunities to think and research on their own. Also being a support system for the student not only regarding the subject matter but even in terms of IT and time manegement. 

There are apprpraite moments for both synchromous and asynchronous learning. Some students like the live interaction with the instructor, howveer, some students (may be due to time zone differences) are unablet o be live, but should still have the benefit of having a lively discussion and interaction via a recorded lecture. There are positives to both types.

I learned that there are various technology tools to help facilitate learning. As instructors we should try and use different tools to be able to reach out to students' different learning styles.
