Activity

Critical thinking and collaboration play such a huge role as a faculty facilitator.  I learned new ways to implement and engage that with students.

I definitely took away a few different ideas on how to engage active learning in the virtual classroom environment that I plan to implement in my courses.

The details into active learning have been a pleasure to learn.  Even the considerations at the institutional level outside of the course were things to consider.

I learned about active learning and how different types of components can be integrated such as cooperative learning and problem based learning.

I love the discussion of how much of an impact a welcome letter and best wishes letter can provide.  I will be sure to always implement these in my courses.

I think what am impact a true faculty can make in regards to the many hats we wear.  It truly fits that a faculty is a learning facilitator, social director, techincal support and more all in one.

I found out about async versus sync and how to determine what is best for the course/students.  Overall, the information must be organized for students and staff.

I learned how many different options there are to utilize such as wikis or virtual classrooms.

I found the details on the "close the loop" section fascinating.  There is so much to consider to truly close the loop in courses for students.

I think my main take away was different types of feedback for students and other methods besides just written communication.
