I have further learned of all the situations it is ok to release like school to school information. I have had other schools deny information when a students was transferring, stating it is due to ferpa regulations and am now seeing that those request shouldn't have been denied for the type of request I was making with the student being aware and notified. 

So far I learned what ferpa is and how it is lined with the students best interest in keeping personal information safe by having laws in place for business to keep their personal information safe. It also went over what the information covered and the people allowed to view it with in a business.
