Activity

I learned the importance of evaluating and revising my online courses to make sure that they match the educational, and industrial landscape.  This should make sure that what is being taught is what is needed to be taught, for the benefit of the student, the institution, and the community.  I also learned that it is important to get evaluations of many types and from many sources for the development of my online classes.

I learned the difference between formative and summative assessments.  I also learned why self and peer assessments are important.  Rubric development was discussed and the advantages of using rubrics.  I am going to spend more time on developing rubrics and making sure I am providing important feedback to my students.

I have learned about creating a dynamic syllabus, and the differences between a flat online syllabus and a dynamic syllabus.  I also learned about online learning communities, effective communication, and scaffolding.

I have learned that consistency is very important.  I also learned that developing a learning objectives data base can be very help to both students and instructors.
