Listening is important to others. By listening you let them know you care about them and their educational needs.

This is something I struggle with. I have students that I meet with individually to ask about their attention span in class, The ones who take responsibility for themselves tend to have better outcomes. There is always a student who blames everyone else for their shortcomings. These students are hard to get through to, but I do give them encouragement and try to figure out a way to get to a common ground with them about class participation.

I like to use ice breakers to introduce the class to myself and the whole class. Covering the syllabus in class is important so that all questions can be answered, and expectations are put into place.

I plan to incorporate more than one technique during class lecture. That way I can get the topic across in different ways.

I will Use the 3 M's going forward.

I like using a checklist to verify that you have covered all topics.

Lead by example, show respect, dress professionally are some ways I will set the best example for my students.

I enjoyed learning about the simulated work environment. In nursing this is very benificial.

Having a lesson plan helps to structure a course. It allows both the student and educator to stay on task.

I liked learning about the course maps. I plan to use this going forward as wells as summative and formative assessments.
