Synchronous and asynchronous learning does depend on the instructor and the student. I do think that is has a lot to do with participation and engagement that the instructor can provide.

I feel that when we interact with them and personalize things like our Bio, and talk to them about personal career situations they really respond and feel more connected to us and school.

I think it is a good informational tool and learning how to teach the different types of communication. It’s all in how the information is given and understood. We want to provide the best for our students and present ourselves and the school in the best light. I make sure I have all my items I need including my roster to call on students during the Skype, I go over items from last week and make sure they have an understanding of the subject matter.
