My advisory council has been very helpful.  I have found it somewhat difficult to schedule meetings during a time when everyone is available.  However, I see that value in the council and agree with many of the points made in this series of lessons.  I hope to grow my council more this year.

This section was very helpful in terms of giving specific ideas for teaching soft skills.  I have taken many notes that will be turned into lessons and/or anchor charts to help students remember different concepts.

I plan to create a process by which students apply and interview for specific jobs.  We run a cafe for teachers, so I need to develop specific jobs within our business that students can fill.  I'd also like to be more intentional with teaching soft skills.

Specifically, I would like to take the students through the process of writing a business plan.  We began our SBE last year; a lunch cafe for teachers.  It was very successful.  Students were in charge of developing the menu, creating our logo, serving teachers, etc.  However, there are many more skills I feel they could learn.  One thing that stood out to me in this class so far has to do with student buy-in.  Right now I think we are at about a 5-6 on the ladder.  I'd like to take them to an 8!
