Confidence!  Don't let the what if's get into your head, you know the plan, you know why you are teaching, you know what you came to do. Just do it!  It's not about you :)

Good strategies on cheating, also on the silent student.  Confrontational is never the way to go, it usually doesn't end well.

Find tasks for the center stage students to do.  All ambiguous behavior is bad, even from the instructors

It's very to keep the communication interesting so the student will be eager to learn all that's there for them.  Be firm in sticking with the course syllabus and make exceptions for extreme circumstances.

Reading the room, knowing your audience.  This should allow a successful delivery and good learning experience for the class. Sometimes more than one delivery method may be needed:  so be it, it's about the students, you do what you have to do so the learning environment is productive and effective.

Introductions are very important, I love the idea of coming up with ways to remember students' names.  very important

Arrive early to prepare, its easier to be prepared instead of running around getting supplies,  while students are in the classroom waiting, watching, and  ready to learn.

In order to become the best possible instructor for myself and my  students, Develop a Professional Development Plan, focus on my weaknesses and seek developmental tools, use resources and other people/groups, that will allow me engagement,  and the opportunity to learn and overcome my weaknesses.  Thanks
