Time, preparation and commitment are imperative for teaching an asynchronous lab course

Students who are in a asynchronous course need to be good managers of their time and the instructor needs to be committed to replying to the students posts in a timely fashion and remind the students of completing assignments on time

Keep in mind that instructors should not penalize a student based on their lack of access to technology

I found it interesting their are websites that help the student evaluate readiness and capability for asynchronous learning.

Understanding the differences between descriptive and evaluative feedback is useful infomation

I was unaware there are websites you can access for rubrics.  I plan to research that a bit more:)

It is important to allow for enough time to construct a rubric that evaluates students understanding of a subject.  Rubrics need to have specific criteria set rather than vague criteria, ie; "some".

Rubrics are helpful information to guide the student's understanding what is expected of them in an assignment

Smiling is so important, even if there is a frown inside.  Students are so vulnerable and anxious, especially when in the clinical setting with patients--smile:)

Work the room, do not stand in 1 place

Helps me understand the definitions of misrepresentation ahd supperlatives so I can better communicate correctly with students
