Create an emotional awareness with each student.   Do your best to gain knowledge about each students background to build relation.

Let there be no dead are in the classroom.  keep the students engaged, otherwise there attention will drift.

  pay attention and be creative.   The more you create an environment that holds their attention the more room there is for retention.  Ask questions look people in the eyes and make sure they have an understanding.

  Not all people learn in the same capacity.   Take into account that each student needs a support system and recognition to help retain and inspire what is being instructed.
