This may be one of the most important things we do for our students...we need to be honest with them from he beginning. We do not want to give them unrealistic expectations that will fall short. It is better to be open about everything and let them make their decisions based on all the facts and that way there will be no surprises for both the school or the student. I agree with Rob, I thought the course was very interesting and informative. I am not in admissions either, I am a presenter. I travel all over the state speaking to high school students, so I see so many different students every week. It is interesting to note the various ways each school works with  who have disabilities. I have never had any problems or disruptions in my 3 years of presenting. Students  are students and it is up to all of us, teachers parents, administrators, etc. to give them the best tools we can and help them the best… >>>

I found this course to be very well organized and easy to understand and to do on-line. It is so important to stay current on all information with our jobs so this was a fun, easy way to do that. I liked how the training was presented and the forums at the end were great to get/give feedback.
