Activity

To improve motivational engagement in online classes, I would set clear goals, foster social interaction through discussion boards and group work, use interactive and multimedia content, and provide regular, personalized feedback. Students can boost their own motivation by establishing routines, setting personal goals, taking breaks, and rewarding their achievements. 

In the flipped classroom, class time is devoted to interactive learning, where students can engage in discussions, problem-solving, and collaborative projects, deepening their understanding of the material. 

A major barrier is access to technology which means that not all students may have access to the necessary technology (e.g., reliable internet, devices) to view the materials before class. This can create inequality in the learning experience.

Flipped classrooms promote active learning, where students engage with content outside of class and come prepared to collaborate in deeper ways during in-class activities. This helps with better retention and understanding. This model gives students more control over the pace at which they learn. They can revisit recorded lectures or readings as needed, which caters to different learning speeds and styles.
