I hadn't thought about using praise and reinforcement as a way to encourage certain behaviors. That may be challenging or awkward to do in a large class.

I was surprised to learn the percent breakdown of types of questions asked in the classroom and that procedural questions are asked as frequently as open questions.

I had never considered all the barriers to implementing active learning, especially potential personal barriers. Now I have some ideas on how to bring down or minimize those barriers.

I noticed that module 2 seems to mirror backward design theory.

I learned that lecture learning is instructor-focused whereas active learning is student-focused.
