I've learned about accreditation and how institutions must be licensed and can be regulated by other agencies. I have learned about keeping up to date with credits and our policies regarding transferring those from one institution to another. 

I learned about the importance of understanding the organizational structure of the institution and the programs. That is is important to sit in on classes, talk with instructors, and read more about the courses to better explain options to students. Be prepared to discuss all student services offered, and make sure that you are famililiar with what the institution has marketed. 

I have learned that it is important to be well versed and informed on the admissions application, enrollment form, and catalog in order to properly walk through the admissions process with potential students. 

Hello, I have learned the importance of being informed with any updated regulations or policies concerning admissions or my institution. I have learned the importance of understanding the terms and definitions within the regulations as it relates to our institution. I have learned that having a resource book can be vital in helping me provide the most accurate information. And, finally, I have learned that continuing education is an important part of this role.
