This module allowed us to understand the various outlets needed to maintain in contact with in order to stay up to date on all information regarding the college, the admissions process, the program information and more. Maintaining an accurate and regularly updated resource notebook and network is essential.

Through this section of the training, I was able to better understand the important role of other areas such as student services, career services, and the marketing team. Understanding their position in the school, how they support the students and how that information can be utilized through the admissions process

This section has highlighted the importance placed on admission representatives to thoroughly understand the policies, regulations, rules, and procedures regarding enrollment and the financial commitment of their students. Ensuring that we have the tools and resources ready for when students have questions or when it is our responsibility to inform them of the facts regarding these policies is essential. Along with this, it is important for us to touch base with our supervisor to properly document and organize all student application and enrollment information.

I feel as though the idea of creating a resource notebook is something that could help set me up for success in this role as an admissions counselor. I also valued the suggestion of locating and understanding key documentation such as the school catalog and the enrollment agreement to best be able to support the incoming students. I am excited to continue with this course and have the opportunity to advance my skills and ability in this position.

I really value the advice of creating a resource notebook to reference during my time as an admissions representative. Understanding what kind of forms such as the college catalog and enrollment agreement could be utilized to best accomplish my goals was incredibly helpful.

I Am looking forward to the rest of this course to best understand my new position and how to optimize this role at my college.
