Educators have such a responsibility and a challenging role in meeting the needs of individual learners. With the average age of the adult learners  entering into career education being 28 and the brain has recently reached maturity the recipients should have this information too. Learning logs may be helpful in the beginning of school for these adult learners.

As a new instructor I like the idea where an instructor becomes more of a facilitator of learning and students take on a more active role in the Learning process. The meta cognitive prompts is an excellent tool to get students to think. Critical thinking is essential in the workplace and if we can estab a good foundation in school that should carry them into the workplace where they can continue their education.

I have also used Kahoot and the students are so engaged!
I plan to provide students with more choices in an effort to help them understand accountability for their learning. I like the idea about rewarding students that are on time  and will think about some way to incorporate that into their clinical role.

I liked the strategy of having effective opening activities...the list 5, sentence stems and resumes/business cards....it is a great way to begin the day. I learned about guided discussions and ending with an inspirational and organized review of the material. All said I will be practicing.....

Having sound and current policy to guide instructors is of the utmost importance in an effort to be fair with all students. Reviewing these policies with students at the beginning of the term provides the students with the necessary information to succeed.

I like the idea of giving students with inadequate backgrounds a pre test that is fun for students yet it will generate a theme for common problem areas which can be adjusted

I agree with everything in the previous posts. I followed up on a web site mentioned in this instructional session under the Power Point presentation. The site www.actionden/pp did not provide any developmental ideas as stated. This reference may need to be removed.

This instructional module had a lot of good information and made me think in several different ways. 
I discovered that I am a learn by doing and a socratic instructor. I have always been self-reflective with the goal of growing in my role but I can be really hard on myself too. I have learned a great deal about teaching from my current  colleagues and am greatful to them for sharing. I liked the idea about using colored paper to get the student's attention and will suggest our school order some. I have wanted to use Guest Speakers and appreciate… >>>

Soft skills are really an important component of education. Once individuals are sent out into the work world and apply for and get jobs they need to be on time, communicate effectively, problem solve, work as a member of a team, look at their values and attitudes as well as their ethics in an effort to succeed in the workplac. This should be an important and ongoing  component of all education all initiatives.
