There are regulatory agencies that have rules that need to be followed when adding new programs or making program modifications. A lot of work goes into adding new programs and everyone is involved including other institutions withing the community.

Analyzing the data and understanding it is very important as it will help determine what next steps to take.

Exhaustive research is needed before introducing a new program. Everyone within the community is involved.

Listing of community resources is important as you will get more information on what area is lacking in the commuity and needs to be filled, what potential students may require.

I have learnt about the 10% rule, I did not know about that. 

I have learned advisory boards actually gain publicity within the community if they are chosen well. 

Student services are a very important department as they help in the retention and student success.

It is important to plan because it gives you a sense of direction and I think the most important thing it does is it instils motivation in employees.

Every department should work as a team 

I have learned that active confirmation is a way to ensure that students are aware of their accumulated debt.
