Always stay on top of finding out what's being updated/changed within policies and procedures. Also, see what the policies are as far as transferring credits, experience, and more.  Be adamant about reaching out to people who are knowledgeable on all of the different areas to obtain new information from them.

That things can vary from institution to institution, and it's important to know what your school does. I think it would be very valuable to sit it on a class, go out into the fields where students are currently working, and really see it first-hand so we can give a more accurate description to students, the kinds of things they can expect. I really appreciated and liked those suggestions.

I've learned that it's always good to know what your specific school may require, as it may not be the same for every school. We should give our students completely accurate information. I will make sure I know the specific guidelines, procedures, and rules our school has laid out before an interview with an applicant.

I've learned how important it is to be intentional with learning every aspect of recruiting. That it all plays a role and matters in student/school success. I'll pay close attention to what is being taught and try to apply it practically to our school's situation.
