I learned assessments need to match what I'm actually teaching and give me a clear understanding of what my students know. I plan to use different types of assessments to make sure my students understand the material and can apply what they learned, especially during hands-on activities.

I learned that student's assessment should accurately measure the knowledge, and skills students are expected to demonstrate. Assessments should algin with learning objectives and provide useful feedback about student progress. I plan to use a variety of assessments methods, including written work, questioning, and hands-on performance, to identify areas of strength and where additional instruction may be needed.  

I learned that questioning is an important teaching technique because it helps check for understanding, encourages student participation, and promotes critical thinking. I plan to apply this by asking a variety of questions throughout my lessons and giving students enough time to think and respond. This will help me identify areas where students may need additional instruction while keeping them actively engaged in the learning process. 

I learned that students have different learning styles, and effective instruction should use a variety of teaching methods to reach learner. I plan to apply this by incorporating visual demonstrations, hands-on activities, discussions, and clear verbal explanations into my lessons. this will help keep students engaged and give them multiple ways to understand and apply the materials.

I learned that integrated career services play an important role in student retention by helping students connect their education to their career goals. I plan to apply this by reminding students how the skills they are learning relate to real- world employment, encouraging them to use career services, and keeping them focused on completing their training and preparing for their careers.

I learned that student involvement plays an important role in retention. Students are more likely to stay engaged and succeed when they feel connected academically and socially. I plan to apply this by creating an inclusive classroom environment, encouraging participation, building positive relationships with students, and providing support when students, and providing support when students begin to struggle. 

I learned that effective orientation and mentoring can have a major impact on student retention. Students are more likely to stay engaged and succeed when they understand expectations, feel supported, and know where to go for help. I plan to apply this by building relationships with my students, providing clear guidance, checking on their progress, and making sure they know they have support throughout their training.

I learned that student retention begins before students ever enter the classroom. providing prospective students with clear and realistic information about the program, expectations, training, and career opportunities helps them make informed decisions. I plan to apply this by reinforcing those expectations in the classroom, connecting the training to real-world career goals, and helping students understand how what they are learning contributes to their future success. 

I learned that motivating students requires understanding what motivates each individual learner and using reinforcement that supports their success. I will apply this by showing enthusiasm for the HVAC field, recognizing students' progress, providing positive encouragement, and helping students connect what they are learning to their career goals.

I learned that keeping the focus on students requires understanding their individual needs and recognizing that students may learn in different ways. I will apply this by using a variety of instructional methods, building trust and mutual respect, and creating an environment where students feel valued and supported. This will help keep students engaged and give them a better opprortunity to succeed.
