I had never heard of VARK or TruColors -- I have used something else and appreciate new tools to determine student's learning styles. 

I feel quite good about the social engagement, but I feel like I need to focus more on the motivational aspect.

New hires that have little experience present these challenges upon onboarding.  I used elearning to complement virtual instructor-led training.  It seems as though they have not had to use critical thinking, and I can't really expect them to know how since they have little to no experience on which to build their learning.

Great unit! I really enjoyed the "low risk" engagement strategies you provided -- I can begin using these immediately.  

I most appreciated the thought that this online learning environment may take extra time to review the relevance of course materials and strategies, using a definite, concrete reason for students to use the engagement tools. Designing adult learning experiences takes interest, reflection, and support to create online courses that are effective. 

I spent a lot of time in the Core elements unit, focusing on the active learning strategies.  Very helpful! 

I learned the importance of incorporating the 4 Rs.  I'm very focused moving forward on "dialogue learning" 

I enjoyed the discussion about the holistic approach for skilled trades workers.

I learned that integrative instruction is about designing and mediating instruction that promotes and supports a full process of analysis, reflection, understanding, and application. 

While I have only minimally used these, I am excited to implement more contextual learning in my classroom, such as problem-based learning.
