Technology has opened up students ability to learn from many different places and topic areas.  It allows students to connect and collaborate from around the world and expand their knowledge through others experiences.  It does require discipline and accountability to stay driven and motivated to complete in appropriate time.

Using a combination of various methods that uses collaboration, cooperation, and the experiential learning theory will allow the student to take on a more active role of their learning environment and will result in a higher level of thinking to increase knowledge of material.

It is important for students to have individual roles and accountability while working in peer groups.  They learn through both methods, but need the extra accountability to make sure contributions are equal while also learning from each other.

As an instructor I need to be flexible and adapt my lessons to my students abilities and learning styles.  It is important to vary the technique while maintaining my expectations and standards to be taught, but will have better student success if they are connected to the material and able to develop their own thoughts to the material.

I need to incorporate more case students and rigorous activities to allow the students to increase their role in the learning process.

Allowing students some choices in topics or style of assessment, allows them to show mastery of standard or material taught at the same time students are able to utilize techniques or topics they are interested in and to the best of their ability.
