Being enthusiastic about your job shows your students how much you value your profession and your achievements.

When teaching adults, class management means that you are prepared, organized, and dedicated to sharing your expertise and knowledge of the field.

Paying such close attention to your students will also enable you to recognize emerging problems.

Many times students will withdraw from participating if they can't see a reason for learning the information being presented.

About 10% of your students will continually require your intervention with their assignment issues.

State questions in positive form, if possible, because students often misread negatively-phrased questions.

"Validity means honesty - that we are measuring what we say we are measuring and that we know and can show what it is we are measuring."

Questions should be easily understood and trimmed of excess verbiage.

By blending the different learning styles of students into work groups a balance of the different styles can be achieved.

Research has shown that there are four cornerstones of instruction that can be used by instructors to motivate and inspire their students. These are expertise, empathy, enthusiasm, and clarity.
