I believe probing and redirection are two of the techniques i use the most in class to keep the conversation going and to keep students engaged in learning.

I have learned to ask open ended question to help the students to think deeper. And to use the think pair share technique to get deeper responses from them.

I learned the classification system for different types of questions. How to use both open and closed ended questions. I also learned how to pose question as to not intimidate students.

I learned how to give extra credit and how to apply it to students grades. I also learned how to keep my gradebook so that I don't share students grades by accident. Keeping my gradebook up-to-date and sharing grades with the student.

I learned that time management is very important for the success of the students. Pretest can help me to know where student stand and how much they know to help me with teaching the class.

I have learned not to rush through PowerPoints. Take my time and elaborate on each slide so the student can better understand; don't just read from the slides.

This module has taught me to be better prepared for class. And put my best foot forward at the beginning of class to demonstrate my Classroom management skills, thereby increasing students' confidence in my abilities as their instructor.

My takeaway from this is to not just read the lecture but to expand on it and keep the students engaged in learning.

I learned a lot about how to conduct the first day of class. I also learn ways how to learn the students names.

Having a plan for a class can go a long way. With proper planning your class will go much smoother.
