There are multiple learning styles, and it is important to not only teach in one style but to use a variety to ensure everyone is receiving the information provided. Student's my find it difficult to retain information if it's presented to them in way they can't comprehend or fully process.

Language is complex and just because someone has difficulty speaking a language it does not mean they don't comprehend it. People process information differently and it may be helpful to include other ways to learn information especially if someone is an ESL student.

This course has taught me to treat each student as an individual. Similar to patient centered care, each student has a unique background that can contribute to the learning process. It is the student's and teachers' responsibility to create an inclusive environment and be aware of any racial discrimination.

Diverse student groups in the classroom require an individualized approach to learning. It is important for the instructor to be aware of any stereotypes being portrayed in the classroom.  If it is presented in texts or observed in the classroom to point it out and have zero tolerance for this type of setting.
