I agree with the Attention=Retention. It's another reason I walk the room, and it allows me to connect with students when lecturing.

 

Being able to accommodate students with learning disabilities to be more successful is essential. Students are sometimes afraid to mention an issue, but it can be easy to ascertain. As an instructor, you can approach them as well. However, do it in such a way that you are just checking in on them and seeing if they need any extra support.

 

Being reminded of the three aspects of memory is helpful and how students use them. In addition, being able to have shorter assignment segments can be beneficial.

 

I have found that using a combination of audiovisual techniques is helpful for students. For example, sometimes showing a short video that supports content we have just gone over, with a quick quiz after to benefit information retention.

I have learned the importance of breaking out-group participation as an essential way to help keep students engaged.

 

I have learned how to apply various methods to help students better understand the material being presented. Especially with those that may not have English as their primary language.
