Donald, Interesting point. I do think not everyone wants to be in college they just don't have anywhere else to go! They don't come to any college class with the skills to be successful. I have a hard time getting students to understand that student centered means student responsible--that means they can't always be a victim . Dr. Kelly Wilkinson

Donald, I agree with you, students don't know what they don't know. They have to understand first that they re NOT consumers of education; they are products. I do know they need to know who this learning will be used and is relevnat to their goals. This hasn't always been the case. Dr. Kelly Wilkinson

Donald, You are right. Although I have learned ( the hard way) that students don't know how to take feedback and change the way they write. I now have them create a plan to improve their writing based on my feedback. It does seem to help. Dr. Kelly Wilkinson
