Robert, There is no problem with your evaluation. If they need to demonstrated basic understanding and recognition that is appropriate. We don't need to apologize if the objectives of the course is to have basic understanding and recognition. Students to know have that time of knowledge before they can move to more complex learning. Robert, Great post! Yes, you want to make sure that your students can work the software as you want to measure what they learn not how well they learn to use the software. Philip, You make a great point. After reading your comment I was thinking, when do we think about this in our f2f class? Don't our students ALWAYS come to us with different needs to grow?
