Communication is the key to a successful instructor and student relationship. Most students find excuses for everything, Make sure that students know your door is always open and make sure they understand the guidelines.

Student participation is very important. It does not matter which an instructor may use; asynchronous or synchronous, they just need to reply to the students quickly and encourage them to participate.

Teaching online is such different than teaching face to face. As the instructor you have to gain the trust of the students by proving yourself to them but also not bragging on yourself.

Success with Online classes, the instructor has to be very knowledgeable, and structure is relevant!

Variety of teaching styles will help the instructor get know all the students and how to help them. Not every student learns the same way, so as the instructor it is important to learn the different ways to improve the learning of the students.

It is very important that an instructor learns the student's names, why they are in class and what they are wanting to learn.

Being prepared will help improve your class.

The more prepared an instructor is, the better every class will be. Every day is a new day and the ability to strengthen your confidence as an instructor.

Taking notes on different topics that students have questions about. Note taking can make you a stronger instructor so you can improve your presentation.

As a previous instructor, I learned that the more prepared for class and the students, the better class was enjoyed by all.
