Activity

I was aware of what appreciative inquiry was, but I was not aware this was the term for it. I plan to more of this into my writing reflection prompts and discussion questions for students. 

Transparency is especially important when you are already at capacity. I will apply this when it is not feasible to add more tasks to an already expansive weekly workload.

I learned that approximately 35% of people are visual learners. I thought the percentage would be higher. I also thought auditory learning percentages would be lower. I can apply this learned knowledge when I teach. 

I’ve learned that, regardless of the situation, the way you respond can greatly influence others’ motivation.

I have learned that it is okay to speak up when you have a lot of new tasks that are being assigned. Saying yes to every single thing can sometimes be a downfall. Using your voice matters. Becoming more efficient every time you do a task matters. And, assessing how much time you spend on each time matters too. 

Assessing aspects of the course where students were lost or bored can be helpful to make revisions for enhanced learning in the future. 

The ABC's of learning are a good way to create learning objectives when teaching other's material.

Student seating arrangements can make a difference.

I learned various ways to address different student behaviors by altering word choice.
