Language is a part of a persons culture and it is important to know what is their first language and what other languages they arw learning.

It is important to acknowledge the differences in students rather than being blind to them. Recognizing everyone's differences will help instructors better learn how to be inclusive when teaching. 

Never make assumptions about a student based on their gender. And students have different learning methods.
